WHAT ALL OF US WANT.

Dear friends across the United States and the globe! I’m stopping for a moment and opening up, something I feel we must all do. As difficult as it seems we must, in this moment, witness what has truly taken place.
Understand that, in fact, we all wish and want for the same thing. That desire is what must unite us. What do we want…?
A change in the system: Our voices were heard on one side for Bernie, and on the other side for Trump. For many others it was a desire for a feminine and highly qualified voice to lead us. The candidate that has won- won because he is “non- establishment”. ALL OF US are tired of the formula and secrets and the “rules as played out”. A thing, that has worked before, became complacent.
All of us are tired of a disconnected elite system that lines their pockets before lining ours. Trickle down does NOT flood down… and does not even trickle.
All of us want jobs. We all want comfort and peace within our homes. Most of us don’t need or want billions of dollars or houses across the globe. We want to work and enjoy our families and holidays. Although, this is contrary to what capitalist mentality will have us believe is true success- amentality that places us in competition rather than community.
We want to live and feel safe. To be free of domestic and foreign threats.
We want to take care of our homeless, our children, our education, our health.
We want the American dream: to love who want to love, to practice our faith as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others, to earn a livable wage and thrive rather than survive, to have the freedom of our voices heard and our opportunities equaled.

When you open yourself up, you’ll see that it is not “us” against the other. It is not white against the black and it is not Muslim against Christian. Although, for numbers and dollars the media will have us believe this DRAMA. YES! THEIR ARE RACISTS ASS HOLES- But they are not the majority. It is not gays against the religious right, nor the religious against the atheist. It is not the fault of the millennials that voted their conscience. It is not us against one another. But rather, us against a thing that is as old as humanity. It is us against a powerful few. It us against a government, on either side, (if unregulated by the people) that is held captive by money, favors, and loop holes that protect them.
The rural white straight father of three giving his life to mining in coal is no better off than an urban Latina mother of three making minimum wage. A college student with incredible debt is no better off than the 60 year old man who worked his life off for a company that fires him 2 years before retirement. A foster child lost in the system is no better off than one locked in his/her closet by an oppressive unforgiving parent. The spoiled white kid that always gets his/her way is certainly not better off than the poor black kid that is loved by his mother. We all have our stories. All of our pain is the same. We can choose to use our story as our POWER!
So, the only power network of any consequence in the history of the United States has been the economic one, which under capitalism generates a business-owning class and a working class, along with small businesses and skilled craft workers who are self-employed, and a relatively small number of highly trained professionals such as architects, lawyers, physicians, and scientists. In this context, the key reason why money can rule -- i.e., why the business owners who hire workers can rule -- is that the people who work in the factories and fields were divided from the outset into free and slave, white and black, and later into numerous immigrant ethnic groups as well, making it difficult for workers as a whole to unite politically to battle for higher wages and better social benefits.
What this election tells us is something that, we as a nation, agree upon and should find pride in the realization of what we have just done. YEP I SAID IT. A thing in which the political and corporate elite have not allowed themselves to listen nor have had any concern until both parties were dismembered. THAT IS WHAT HAS HAPPENED. We ALL desire evolution- whether we are consciously aware of it or not. The RNC HATES TRUMP!!
The media gave Trump a platform in return for numbers and dollars- a very inexpensive reality show. The DNC and the media ignored Bernie and went with a “formula”. The RNC went too far to the right and became the TEA PARTY [Literally] not The Republican Party- they got Trump as a result. Democrats did not evolve either from their monotonous establishment. Although, it would have been amazing to have our first female president; she, unfortunately, played by the rules. She was highly qualified to continue the status quo, but the people are evolving.
The people have spoken. We must not further play into an elaborated divide among ourselves. Nor let the media water our own divisiveness to gain numbers and dollars. I’ve been to many parts of America including the most rural, and what I have seen is unity and a willingness to love and unite. Is their ignorance? Yes, but that is in the minority. Regardless of what the media allows us to believe. We must not hate another group among us- as we cannot get into the hearts of everyone. This result does NOT show that a majority of our country are racists, sexist, or ignorant people. Rather, it shows a people that are like all of us… a people who WANT TO EVOLVE. A people who want opportunity, safety, homes, love, jobs.
They think us fools. And some of us are. Not because you did not vote for Hillary or because you did vote for Trump. But because we’ve played their game and thought ourselves powerless against it. A product of a reality television addiction. Yes, racism and hatred are in some hearts. Yes, our prison systems are over run with injustice. There are as many poor and uneducated white Americans as there are the same in minorities. Rape, murder, theft, and greed do not know race, religion, sexual orientation, or class. These evils only know hate and we are all participants and victims. Do not let them say it is because of the Mexicans, or the Jews, or Gays, or rural White America. That is a mentality that has divided many prosperous cultures. Perhaps this election tells us that our educational system is void of substance and discipline or limited means to provide adequately. Perhaps those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it, and take those of us who do along for the ride. Perhaps. But WE AND ONLY WE can change that. ONLY WE CAN CHANGE THE prisons, the education, the wars, the domestic abuse, the hatred. Trump won't do it, nor would Hillary have. And.... although; in my opinion ,Obama was AMAZING he did not have all the answers. YOU EXPECT ONE PERSON TO UNITE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE?.... NOPE! Unity comes from us.
What this election certainly illustrates is that we demand evolution and that is a thing upon which we can all agree. Not a change… but a willingness to evolve. An evolution I had hoped would be seen in the GOP after their loss in 2008. I had hoped that they would see a growing and evolving America. I saw the same thing happen to the DNC this year. We did evolve in 2008. Like it or not we are still evolving- even with a Trump campaign. Perhaps not “slow and steady” was the measure needed… but courageously and with unified force empowering a thing necessary to maintain our strength. We must no longer repeat the pains of history and allow the top 1% , the media, and the corporate machine to divide us. But rather, see one another as brothers and sisters. We must not allow the history of division among the masses to repeat it’s venomous strike. Please, do not hate one another. Do not invoke violence upon each other nor wish harm to our leaders. We must do the following:
Share our stories. You’ll see we are ALL more similar than you think.
Live your personal life better today than you did yesterday, and acknowledge that you are certainly not alone in your struggle.
Take NOTHING at face value but read multiple articles and opinions on every “truth” told- and from every angle.
Demand FACTS and TRUTH from our media
Ignore DRAMA.
Let people be who they are and MEET THEM WHERE THEY ARE. They need to be heard, there is power in listening.
Grow yourself and DO NOT BLAME anyone. Find forgiveness, so that you no longer carry the burden of resentment. Enable yourself once again or otherwise once and for all take action for YOUR OWN WELL BEING
Read books and learn History.
ADMIT your flaws and short-comings. ADMIT your most traumatic life experiences. Doing so will empower you like nothing else.
Mediate, pray, and visualize.
Get involved and volunteer locally.
Have compassion.
This is, in my opinion, the thing to take away form this. And it must be seen and observed and understood. Those among US that voted for Trump wanted evolution disguised as change or a false nostalgia of a "time once great". You reactively voted for something that would shake the system. You are hurting too. I’m not saying that Trump will provide relief. Not at all. I hope will inspire. I will say without hesitation, that he will NOT do the following:
Over turn Gay marriage.
Over turn Roe Verses Wade
I must believe the health care reform will be a reform and not struck.
I have to believe that the Supreme Court justices will be fair and balanced.
We must watch closely that the environment is nurtured.
Am I unsure of what he WILL do? Yes, very concerned. But we, the people, still have the POWER- it is ours. This power was not given but taken and demanded by the people in the founding of this country. We really all do want the same thing. ALL OF US. I think, as a hole, it’s time for America to admit it’s most shameful of acts and teach these, at length, in schools. It is time to move forward with forgiveness of it’s people and forgiveness of it’s self. So please, no more doom and gloom, lets cross each bridge when we come to it, but rather, FORWARD together. Please do not spill hatred or hold resentment to your fellow Americans they are NOT to blame. Do not say "I TOLD YOU SO" If this goes to shit. But unite and fight against the politics! NOT EACH OTHER!! It is the media, the establishment, and ALL of us. Of course a day of mourning is justified if you feel betrayed. But tomorrow awaken - move and reevaluate your dreams, your priorities, and your life. Look inward and ask … Who am I and what can I do to bring forth the thing I want for myself, my family, my country, my environment and my world?
The following are the things I will be focused on:
Supporting only local businesses and banks.
Continue to spread the news about global warming and the effect our addiction to oil and agricultural manipulation has on our globe. (AKA #NoDAPL )
Educate and inspire through my public speaking, films, roles, and mentoring.
Elevate my unity with my minority brothers and sisters.
READ and follow closely and regulate my own business affairs.
Be better today than I was yesterday.
And review the TO DO list inspired by Michael Moore
These are a few of my intentions. I challenge you to do the same. Create without resentment or desire to fight, but rather to push forward and empower. TRULY, we all want the same thing. Do not let “them” divide us- otherwise we are condemned to repeat the results.
My message to the President,
(I would have written the same letter to Hillary). You have, in your conscience, a people diverse in color, education, dreams, acumen, sexual orientation, income, political views, religious beliefs, and passion. This group of people is the GREATEST assortment of humanity to live among one another in harmony since the beginning of mankind. It is the example of, not only the “American Dream” but, truthfully, the dream of humanity. In your hands and those with whom you surround yourself with as advisors, and law-makers, are a people that can and will rise to the call of their dreams and against the oppression of those values. A people of which their DNA on ALL sides has survived persecution from genocide, oppression, authoritarian governments, and have won their freedom at every turn in history. We have sought freedom to speak, to live harmoniously, from a religion and for religious choice, from greed and corruption. We are all the ancestors of criminals, outcast, slaves, and indigenous. We have, before, fallen into the control mechanism empowered by fear and discovered that that is not the answer to living.
In your hands, and it can be taken from you, is a job. It is a job that you were HIRED to perform. You were HIRED. You are not a king or queen. You are a SERVANT. You serve us and you must do it with integrity, honesty, humility, and sacrifice . You are the face of our nation. You ONLY owe favor to US and the betterment of the country, not the corporations, and not the elite. If WE are good then America will be good, by example alone.
You have the opportunity to become the greatest president in the HISTORY of the United States. You have the opportunity to break the pattern and elevate the masses to become stronger than ever before. It is by your lead, your example, your integrity, your words, and by your actions that we are inspired or that we fall. So do the right thing, and if you ever doubt what that might be… listen to your heart, and listen to the American people. We will tell you what to do.
Respect is earned… and I’ll let you know when you have mine.
All my best,
U.S. Citizen
